We were headed from Miami to the Everglades, with a plan to stop somewhere for breakfast on the way, so when I saw this place in the farmers market, I did a double take and pulled in - because farmers like good food. And this place is great. The atmosphere is like a nice cafeteria. The food was simple, tasty and excellent value for money. The service was friendly and timely but not overbearing. I wish there was a place like this near my house!

I eat out a lot. I guess I am the type of reviewer that usually tends to only write reviews if something is really good, or really bad. Well I must say this was the BEST piece of fried fish I have ever eaten. I had the mahi mahi...wow delicious. Fresh caught that morning, cooked perfectly, not at all greasy, great flavor. My only complaint was... I like a lot of relish in my tarter sauce, and when I asked for a side of relish to add to my tarter sauce, they said they do not carry it. I have been here twice and they didn't have extra relish last time either. But that's my personal preference so I really can't hold that against them. The mahi mahi was so good that next time I will just bring a couple relish packets with me! Not a fancy place but a must try if you like fried fish.

Great local restaurant. Went for breakfast - wanted good, home cooked food and got it. Wonderful, friendly staff. Food was delicious and served fast. Price was reasonable and will certainly return when in the area.

Delicious every time! I've been here 4 times now and never been disappointed. Great home fries. Perfect corned beef hash. Very clean and the waitresses are some of the nicest, most attentive people you will ever meet. The cook asks you if you were happy with the food. Great place to go. Good prices, not sure why other reviewers say it is expensive. Lots of yumminess to choose from with a good specials board.

We had a nice late lunch at this place. Although quite simple, the food tasted great! The staff was very friendly. Great place to stop for lunch!

Had Great home fries and veg omelette would recommend to anyone in area. If you are using yelp map it shows it is in homestead however it's about two miles south. Pricy for the area but good!

Found this great sounding place on Yelp. I'm here in Homestead for work. Wanted a nice greasy spoon breakfast of eggs and ham. Popped the address in google maps on my iPhone, which for some reason decided to take me on a giant loop just so that the restaurant would be on my right side, so I drove past it, did a big loop and came back. No matter, it was worth it. I had the eggs with country ham, side of potatoes and english muffin. It came out in about 5 minutes. I guess being one of only three tables there in the late afternoon on a Sunday helped. The food was excellent, just what I wanted. The country ham was a thin slice of an entire ham hock, with bone in, salty and slightly smokey, and very tasty. Everything was great. Looking forward to eating here again. Also love the high ceiling and the farm, cartoonish mural on the wall.

Very good breakfast one of best country fried chickens I have had. Would recommend to anyone

The food was fantastic!!! Great spot for a Sunday morning breakfast... Great local atmosphere and very family friendly.
(5)Vanessa S.
Really good breakfast. If more people knew about this place they wouldn't wait so long at Cracker Barrel and just cross the street over to the Farmer's Market. Not as "nice" but who cares when the food is good?!
(4)Macy T.
Very good but I will say that I ask for Swiss cheese on my omlett and got american, it tasted fine so I didn't complain. They also were not quite as fresh veggie/fruit as I would expect from a place called farmers market that being said everything we had was wonderful and service was very friendly.
(4)Ken D.
Oh, what a strange and surprising place is The Farmer's Market. Now, I ask that you over look the fact that you are pulling up to a restaurant located amidst loading docks and tractor trailers. I ask that you over look the deer heads and cartoonish murals on the walls. I ask that you ignore your instincts to retreat to the safety of a chain restaurant. (There are plenty in the area from which to choose.) Just order. Today, in resisting my natural urges and screaming inner voice, I ordered some of the best corned-beef hash I've ever had. My dining partner got some of the best fried Key West shrimp he'd ever had. The service was friendly. The place was hoppin'. This is a roadside joint worth pulling off the highway to enjoy. Now, I know you're going to doubt me when you see the place. However, humor me. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

We stopped by on our way to our hotel. Excellent place. It's a reasonably sized place, with plenty of tables. You can sit anywhere you like, the staff is good, food is great, and the menu is pretty diverse. Not so many vegetarian options. We would recommend the Jumbo Shrimp (Cajun or not, both are great) and a side of rice. The non-Cajun is much better for children 11 and under. Also, the Country Fried Pork Chop was great. Overall, great place. It might not look so welcoming from the outside, but don't let that fool you. Great place!! :)

This is the most run down, place I've been to.This place was recommemned by a friend so I decided to stop by and see what all the hype was about. Immediately when I walked in I was greeted by an awful smell, maybe the carpets were dirty idk but the place seems pretty old. , menus are sticky, and gross. The server was very friendly, however I couldnt find the courage to stay and eat in this place, the deer heads on the wall looked old and spooky,I def will not be returning here.

Awesome country breakfast. I had two eggs, corn beef hash, home fries potatoes, English Muffin for $7.45 and a cup of coffee for $2.00 dollars. Most important piping hot food. The corn beef hash may be too salty for some people, for me it was fine. The service was friendly and fast. The ambiance was fair.I would definitely go back to the Farmer's Market. Many times I would drive by and would not stop not knowing what kind of food they would be serving. I found out about the restaurants good reviews in Yelp.....
(4)Jason O.
Meh for lunch. The restaurant really doesn't showcase the local produce in the cooking. Not bad for the area, I guess. Prices are reasonable with most items under $10. I guess I've done worse.

A great place for a down home breakfast! My husband and I are on a constant hunt to find a non-chain Restaurant for breakfast. Last week a friend suggested the Farmer's Market and after mass we stopped their for breakfast. I can't decided what was best - the friendly treat-you-like-one-of-the-family service, the fantastic food, or the prices. I had a spinach and Swiss omelet - it was fresh baby spinach! Definitely not frozen or canned! And Bryan had a chili omelet - a combination he never thought of but was amazing! Our coffee cups were always filled and the waitress was all smiles. The decor was great too - very laid back. And we'll be sure to come back!

Nice local dinner where the call you honey. I'd recommend if you are in the area. The omelet was good. The service was friendly. A good value across the street from Cracker Barrel.

Pretty blah. Went for breakfast because Cracker Barrel's wait was hectic. In retrospect, we should have just waited at Cracker Barrel. Inside is a bit grungy. Could use a revamp or just a straight up full cleaning. The "home fries" were swimming in oil and half cooked. I legit bit into a potato wedge that was raw. Sick. Breakfast sandwich was pretty tasteless. Had to continuously apply some salt and pepper. Pancakes are kinda lame. Taste like straight "add water" Bisquick mix. Nothing special, not even close. On a different occasion I was waiting in my car while someone was buying boiled peanuts next door and I witnessed a server from Farmers Marked in her car before her shift digging ferociously in her nose and then enjoying a nice fresh picked breakfast of boogers. And like, she chewed them like it was fucking salt water taffy. I know it was a server because as I waited in my car, she finished her DIY breakfast and got out of her car and walked into the restaurant with her apron. Don't even think twice about eating here. You're better off cooking at home and it'll definitely taste better and fresher. OR, wait for Cracker Barrel for God's sakes.

Breakfast at hotel was cardinal at best so we decided to go eelsewhere the next morning. Searched Yelp and found this place. It's located within the grounds of a fruit parking and distribution warehouse. Eggs, bacon and coffee were good. Pan fries were very greasy and not so good. Friendly staff and super fast service. It's nothing fancy but the ambience is cool: lots of old photos, mostly related to fishing. I would return
(3)Harry A.
Food was excellent and prices were very reasonable especially since they give u a lot will recommend this place to anyone and will be back
(5)Reegan P.
Corn beef hash and fried okra never disappoint. Great place to have breakfast or lunch if you are in the area.
(4)Samantha A.
Best breakfast in town! Absolutely love to order the biscuits and gravey, was never a fan before but now I can't stop ordering it. Good portions. Good family restaurant but not too noisey. Staff are super friendly. Prices aren't the cheapest but Normal compared to a restaurant chain.
(4)Geneva S.
Good food. Fresh tasting veggies. Worth the money , serving sizes. Don't let appearances fool you.
(4)Chris P.
We missed the breakfast rush and were discouraged from ordering breakfast food because they were "out of almost everything." But they managed to find some bacon for my bf's club sandwich. It was also my young daughter's first "country" experience what with the taxidermy on the walls and alligator bites on the menu. overall, the food seemed fresh, the place seemed clean, but the staff seemed weary.
(4)Nico L.
Found this place by accident one Sunday morning when Cracker Barrel was over crowded, no line no waiting walked right in and found a seat! Food is all homemade breakfast is served all day and price is Great! I have been several times and have found everything to be great! Friday's they have fish fry day in which all the fish is caught locally and fresh that day as well as gator tail which was completely off the chain delish!!! I suggest this restaurant to everyone that wants to remember moms homemade cooking!
(5)Chaos M.
Can you image that this is one of most expensive restaurants in our FL trip? It is more expensive than our gator meal in the only restaurant of Everglades NP and most restaurants in Miami Beach. About $20 for some fried fish, the portion is very little. The taste is average.
(2)Helene A.
I was a little disappointed with this restaurant because I expected that they would have a good selection of fish and vegetables since they are located next to the seafood and vegetable distribution warehouse. My friend and I came for lunch on a Sunday. My choices for fish were either fried conch or a tuna fish sandwich. The salads contained only lettuce and tomato for vegetables. I ordered the fried conch platter which came with fries and coleslaw. The conch was pretty good, except for one piece that was as chewy as leather. The fries and coleslaw were very good. My friend had a pastrami sub, which he described as average. I thought the service was excellent, we had a very nice waitress. I would have been delighted if the lunch menu contained a salad of fresh thinly sliced conch with tomatoes, onion, zucchini, mushrooms, lettuce, red wine vinegar or lime juice, and extra virgin olive oil. Just a suggestion.

We stop here for breakfast every time we're in town. The food is always good. The restaurant is clean and the wait staff are really nice. If you're in the neighborhood, stop here.
(5)Janice M.
Cracker Barrel was too busy so looked on Yelp and right across the street was this darling cafe. The ladies call you Honey and the owner's young son clears the tables. Great breakfast. Huge mushroom omelette and good home fries. It's a great alternative if Cracker Barrel is busy or you just want a nice home cooked diner breakfast. It's in a funny location but it's clean, good, fast service and the food is great.
(4)Jess C.
Food is excellent. I had the country breakfast with a biscuit and sausage gravy which was fantastic. Service was great, friendly, family oriented atmosphere and decent prices, however they did not have a specific kids menu. Would have given a 5 star review if cleaner bathrooms. Also they don't allow dogs which, if they had, would have earned them a 10 star review!
(4)Christi B.
Had the turkey dinner with collards and okra, so delicious! Also the server was so sweet!
(5)Tammi G.
We have visited the Farmers Market restaurant several times over the last several years. Today we went there for lunch and the unfortunately we will not be going back. Our table provided a full view into the kitchen. We were able see the kitchen was not very clean to say the least. In my opinion the place needs a good cleaning and some serious updating.
(1)Mady L.
I can't believe I am just NOW finding out about this place! Best breakfast around! Much better than the country breakfast chain restaurant across the street (I really don't see what the big deal about that place is) and way more quiet. The prices are reasonable. I love their breakfast special, the bacon is cooked perfectly, the eggs are fluffy, and the home fries are the delicious!!
(5)Kristin N.
From the outside, I wasn't sure if it was an actual farmers market or a restaurant, but the word restaurant was a dead give away. I wasn't sure about this place but honestly I am so glad we tried it out. I had sunny side up eggs with grits and corn beef hash... and OMG it was delish. My fiancé say's it's one of the best he's had! I can't wait to go back for breakfast. We tried the conch fritters which were filled and not too breaded, but I think the oil might have been a little too hot because it burned the outside just a little. Just lower the oil a little and these fritters will be great! My mother in law and fiancé had the grilled chicken sandwich, it was moist and cooked to perfection. The coleslaw was light and the french fries were good. It's a home cooked meal without having to clean up the mess. I'm looking forward to going back for more.

I would stay away from the Farmers Market. There is a history of sexual harassment there in the treatment of the female waitresses. The owner has been informed about this and has chosen to do nothing about it. Cleanliness appears to be a problem in the kitchen. I don now know how many times this restaurant has been inspected but a look at the kitchen will tell you to go somewhere else.

Service was on point, but we were the only table for the first 15 minutes of our visit. It was a Saturday at 8:15 AM. Tried this place out because my parents had been there a few times, and met us there on the way to the keys. They said that it wasn't usually that empty. The breakfast was ok, no complaints there. Like I said, the service was great. The old lady serving us was extremely nice, made sure our coffee cups were always full, and made an extra special (added chocolate chips to the whip cream topping) hot chocolate for my 7 year old which she loved. Not sure if I'd go back, but I wouldn't take it off my list of options.

Look, if you're a sidity "I need to spend $60 on a plate for breakfast" type person then this is not the place for you. I've read some of the reviews on here and I must say some of ya'll sound conceited. Wtf you think this place is, something off in Coral Gables?! Anyway, if you're looking for a home cooked type meal then this is your place! Yes, the decor is not to my standards but what do you expect from a place in Florida City and from a place that keeps it traditional? I guess people expect to see couches and shit with damn glitter flowing out from the ceiling and a laser show smh. The breakfast is great and I've tried the conch balls and shrimp and it was yummy. I wasn't too thrilled about the dolphin and collard greens. The fried okra is awesome! This is your typical ol skool diner with GREAT service! The staff is SUPER friendly and even offered my girls toast so they aren't super starving waiting on food. By the way, the food comes out super fast and that's what I like. My stomach is not all shriveled or anything waiting forever like other places. If you can look outside of the decor you will most definitely enjoy your breakfast or lunch here! I will update if I attend their fish fry Fridays.

Overpriced for a diner. Go to Dennys or other local fare. Especially breakfast. 3 large pancakes $8.99. I do my best to support local restaurants and will continue to do so. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the food was your typical breakfast, it was average, but the prices need some working. For the price of a side order of French Fries you could buy a gallon of gas and find another place for for breakfast. Sorry but Ocean Drive prices on North Krome Ave doesn't work for me.

Perfect for breakfast. On the way to everglades park in royal palm.
(4)Matthew O.
This is a place I wouldn't have ever gone to without hearing some good reviews. The location and decorations of the Farmer's Market make it a little funky. But that is part of the fun of eating there. I like to go there for breakfast on the weekend. The food is consistant and the service is always pretty good. It is definitely better than the Cracker Barrel across the street.
